Windows System Administrator

We're currently looking for a Windows System Administrator for one of our hubs in London. We’ve grown significantly over the last few years and our ability to keep things running is largely due to the team we have looking after the Systems and Operations.

We’re looking for a Windows System Administrator to join our team and help maintain and create an Azure platform to help with our ongoing service reliability and help move into more of a DevOps style environment, working in building “built for purpose” development environments for quicker releases.

As our Windows System Administrator, you’ll be coming in to work with one of the most profitable e-commerce companies in London. You’ll be working and learning from some of the best people in the industry and we’re looking for someone who loves to try out new things, learn and adapt to challenging situations to keep our internal and external services running.

The team you’ll come into are part of a technology team of over 50 people, delivering market leading products to consumers and we want a passionate, energetic and highly motivated individual for the Windows System Administrator role.

Although you’ll be working for one company, the group comprises of 5 companies in the same building (group over 500 people) so would suit someone who likes the start-up style of working, however still happy to co-ordinate with a larger company and happy to work in a proper Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment.

We’re also BIG on collaboration across the companies, as our Windows System Administrator, you’ll have the opportunity to work in different teams on different projects. We also hold internal hack-a-thons, meetups and talks, so if you like to learn and contribute to the technology community, you’ll have the chance with both internal and external technologists crossing the web and mobile stack.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of modern Microsoft Server platforms - especially IIS administration and Active Directory.
  • Advanced knowledge of Hyper-V and VMware.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Experience in Azure
