We are one of the leading iGaming organisations based on the beautiful island of Malta & we are looking for a Big Data Manager.

 

Your profile should match that of an experienced Manager who’s strengths are focused within people management and translating business requirements accordingly. This role is pivotal to the development of our big data engineering team & will consist of driving forward the big data strategy that has been set by the business.

 

Over the past 12 months we have invested heavily in the creation of our Big Data & Data Science Engineering team who are now on their way to becoming a data driven business. Gaining insights into customer experience & trends alongside operational information will be @ the core of what the data team are doing in both batch and real-time.

 

Most importantly this role will require someone that is confident in their ability to deliver, to liaise with various stakeholders within the business and drive this exciting initiative forward. We operate at a very large international scale and are currently in a growth spurt. This is an exciting time to join an aspirational business in a time where the next 2-3 years will keep providing some exceptionally interesting challenges.

Requirements:

 

  • Experience of working with and/or managing large Big Data Engineering team.
  • People/Team management experience
  • Understanding of real-time & batch data processing and associated technologies such as Hadoop, Kafka, Flink etc
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A relevant Bachelors (BSc.) or Masters (MSc.) Degree
  • Stakeholder/Business facing experience
